Sophie Halpin, CFP®

Financial Advisor
Chartered SRI Counselor™

My goal is to empower clients in charting and achieving their financial vision through honest communication and consistent support through life changes. I use a holistic approach to solve big questions, work towards each person’s unique goals, and offer trustworthy, relevant advice.

I am proud to be a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and use my experience to help people feel confident about the many ways money and investments impact their lives. As a second-generation advisor and first-generation American, I have seen firsthand the difference financial stability and knowledge offer. I hope to provide each client with the confidence and tools they need to build wealth and financial wellbeing.

I am passionate about integrating financial goals with personal values through sustainable, responsible, impact investing (SRI). I became one of the first advisors in Maine to receive the Chartered SRI Counselor™ certification. I believe SRI can make investing a more cohesive part of people’s lives by better aligning with their beliefs and interests, while promoting better business practices on a large scale.

Supporting the next generation and environmental causes is very important to me. I have been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for over six years. I was selected as an advisor for the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute to mentor young women in high school. I volunteer on the Maine Conservation Voters’ events and development committee. I’m also on the Board of Growing to Give, an organic farm that uses climate-friendly methods to grow and donate vegetables to local people struggling with food insecurity.

I can often be found hiking, skiing, and biking in the Maine woods. I love field hockey, weightlifting, and going to live concerts. My husband Alex, two cats, and I live in Brunswick in a retro house that we are constantly (and happily) renovating.
