Joel Ouellette

My purpose, as your dedicated financial guide, is to help you align your finances with your goals, thoughtfully and clearly.

I find great joy in helping clients navigate their complex financial lives, learning what is important to them, and then helping translate that into clear and actionable objectives. In all that we do, from, financial planning, asset allocation and retirement planning, my aim is always to listen deeply and provide advice that puts you in control of your financial life.

Prior to working at Back Cove Financial I spent a year teaching English in France. I then worked at a nonprofit, facilitating programs that helped others teach abroad, in countries from Spain to South Korea. I have always enjoyed working with people that have diverse backgrounds and experiences, as there is a richness of life that comes with experiencing differences.

My wife and I are both native Mainers that have travelled and since returned to our home state. We now call South Portland home. I currently serve on the South Portland Economic Development Committee. We spend most of our time enjoying Maine and the outdoors with our two children, Clare and Wes. Our family can be found hiking, skiing, running, kayaking, and planning future travel.
